Social Service Worker Graduate
It's Official!
In the Fall of 2021, during a pandemic, and within a year and a half,
I became a College Honours Graduate in the program of Social Service Worker through Durham College.
I strongly believe that I would not have succeeded if I were not blessed with my support group.
I have come to realize that through the support of others,
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
My support group not only saw me through this journey, but they also uplifted and empowered me to become the Highest Ranking Student in my class.
Thanks to my husband for the support and encouragement and ensuring I had the best student desk set-up.
I would not have been anywhere as successful if it were not for my classmates.
Never underestimate the value of camaraderie.
Through their support, I had friends whom I could count on because they understood the student journey! They allowed me to vent and complain when I did not get a perfect grade,
and they sat alongside me throughout classes and many group projects.
My work was also instrumental in balancing work-school commitments.
I was always supported even when I had to take time off for school, like during exam week.
Finally, I would also like to super thank the staff and members of CLAPW who provided me with the opportunity to learn and grow throughout school, while completing my field placement hours!
I was able to have an amazing Convocation, even though it could not happen the way we would have wanted.
Thank you to everyone at Durham College for making our Grad experience awesome!
Thank you for the Fall convocation website, for the staff members who handed out our credentials, and for the team who set up all of the decor!
And, thanks, Hubby, for the cute shout-outs!
Catch me within the next year with my Thanatology Grad Certificate!
Cheers to everyone for their hard work and perseverance!
And Best of Luck to everyone in school and to those who are #DCGrads2021 !
